My Story

I’m 64 years old, a wife, a mother of three amazing children and a grandmother of four grandchildren. My life is full, and I enjoy every part of it with my family who are the most important people in my life.

Over the years, as I was getting older, I started to notice visible changes to my body. At first, it was tendonitis in my wrists, and eventually, I had operations to remove the crystals that formed around the tendons. I had 3 operations, but the tendonitis would eventually come back, and I had to try and manage working with aching wrists. I do a lot of typing. It didn’t end there — the inflammation moved into arthritis in my hands as well.

I also struggled with constant reflux — so bad it caused a hiatus hernia. I was on daily anti-reflux medication. I used to sing in my church, but the acid build-up damaged my vocal cords so badly that I lost my ability to sing. On top of that, I was diagnosed with diverticulosis, which caused constant flare-ups and pain in my colon. I was just generally miserable with my health issues.

In June of 2022, I was hospitalized with a severe diverticulitis attack. I was in so much pain, and the required antibiotics could only be given via a drip. I spent seven days in hospital. That was my turning point.

I decided I wasn’t going to live this way anymore. I began searching for answers and was led to Mary-Ann Shearer and her 100 Days to Health program. Her philosophy — that the body is designed to heal itself if given the right environment — gave me hope.

I started applying the food combining principles and began using AIM’s whole-food supplements. Slowly, things began to change. I adjusted how I structured my meals, introduced more raw foods, and supported my gut with BarleyLife, FloraFood, and Herbal Fiberblend.
